Another source gives Leonard's marriage date as 22 Apr. 1794. Frederick's will makes provision for Leonard's wife as she had no one to support her. Gabriel Reeves was a caulker & also a widower when he married Maria. They lived behind Calvin Ward's on the point. Anna lived with them.

Frederick Vogler lived at Voglers Cove. Catherine Elizabeth Conrad lived at Cherry Hill, Thomas, Jake, Leonard, Christian & Martin Lived at Vogler's Cove, Regine at Broad Cove, Elizabeth at East Port Medway. Frederick's will mentions children Catherine, Thomas, Jacob, Leonard, Christian, Martin, Elizabeth & Regine. He gave the cemetery & school property to the community.
Frederick Vogler's house was on the coast near the recent home of Cliff Whynachts chip yard. Family stories tell that Mrs. Vogler's home at Five Houses was often attacked by privateers. For that reason , a cannon was mounted in an upstairs bedroom window. At another time chains were strung across the river to keep ships out.
Fred's wife was Maria Elizabeth Schmidt, daughter of Thomas and Christiana (Werth) Schimidt. Their children are the founders of the Vogler family at Vogler's Cove. The son Johann Thomas Vogler (1795-1871) is buried in the cemetery given to the community by his father.
