First Generation

William Frederick CREAMER. Born on 5 Oct 1830 in Prussia, William died on 23 Jul 1902; he was 71. Buried in Bethel Cemetery, Polk Twp, Washington County, Indiana. He immigrated to the United States in 1844, was a farmer, and a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. William marriedMary Jane WARD, daughter of Revolutionary War Veteran Zebediah WARD and his second wife, Harriet JONES. Born on 22 Jan 1832 in Bennetsville, Clark County, Indiana, Jane died in Wood Township, Clark County, Indiana on 3 May 1916; she was 84. They had the following children:

Second Generation

Charles E. CREAMER. (William F.) Born in Mar 1858 in IN. Charles died after 1920. He farmed in Wichita Co., TX. On 24 Jan 1883, when Charles was 24, he married Elvira ROBISON in Clark Co., IN. She was born in Mar 1854 in IN. They had seven children, born in Missouri and Texas.

"Elvira Robison, m. Jan 24, 1883, Clark Co., Ind., Charles Creamer, dec'd. went West." (Family of Sarah A. (Sallie) Peyton & Hugh M. Robison) -Robertson Papers; Salem, Indiana. Charles and 'Margaret E.' CREAMER are found in the 1900 and 1920 census in Wichita Co., TX. Charles' nephew, Grant L. CREAMER, son of Dennis CREAMER, is living with them in 1920.

Asa Benjamin CREAMER. (William F.) Born on 15 Dec 1859 in Polk Township, Clark County, Indiana, A.B. died in Floyd County, Indiana on 12 Jan 1927; he was 67. Buried in Jan 1927 in Fairview Cemetery, New Albany, Floyd County, Indiana. He was a merchant and lumber inspector. On 8 Mar 1883 when A.B. was 23, he married
Ida Lillie POOLE, daughter of Joseph POOLE & Sarah PARSONS, in Clark County, Indiana. Born on 24 Nov 1862 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, Ida died in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky on 24 Feb 1936; she was 73. They had the following children:

Hattie Catherine CREAMER. (William F.) Cate was born circa 1865 in Indiana. On 15 Jan 1885, when Hattie was 20, she married John W. ELLIOTT, son of Alfred ELLIOTT & E.L. CASEY, in Washington County, Indiana.

Jane E. CREAMER. (William F.) Born circa 1866 in Indiana, Jane died in Washington County, Indiana in 1899; she was 33. Buried in Bethel Cemetery, Polk Township, Washington County, Indiana. On 26 Feb 1884 when Jane was 18, she married Paris SPURGEON, son of George Milton SPURGEON & Evaline LEONARD, in Washington County, Indiana. Born in Jun 1859 in Washington County, Indiana, Paris died in Washington County, Indiana in 1930, he was 70. He was a county surveyor. They had the following children:

Elnora CREAMER. (William F.) Born Apr 1868 in Indiana. She first married unknown ROSS. She second married Rev. unknown HARTLEY.

"Nora" Ross is found living with her parents in the 1900 census. 32 years old, she is already a widow. She has borne four children, none of whom have survived to that year.

Lorena Missy CREAMER. (William F.) Born on 4 Mar 1870 in Indiana, Lorena Missy died in New Albany, Indiana on 14 Aug 1950; she was 80. On 21 Sep 1886 when Lorena Missy was 16, she married William Lee WAGGONER in Washington County, Indiana.

William Frederick CREAMER Jr. (William F.) Born on 1 Mar 1872 in Washington County, Indiana, William died on 4 Jun 1953; he was 81. He was a farmer and a teamster. On 31 May 1894 when William Frederick was 22, he married Lucy Belle MULL, daughter of Thomas MULL & Lucy Ann HOWELL, in Washington County, Indiana. Born on 7 Nov 1874 in Indiana, Lucy Belle died in Washington County, Indiana on 25 Sep 1950; she was 75. They had the following children:

Dennis A. CREAMER. (William F.) Born in Oct 1874 in Indiana, Dennis died after 1953. He owned a general store in Washington County, and later worked as a teamster. On 3 Mar 1895 when Dennis was 20, he married Samantha C. "Katie" MULL, daughter of Thomas MULL & Lucy Ann HOWELL, in Washington County, Indiana. (Born in Mar 1877 in Indiana). They had the following children:

Third Generation

Carrie CREAMER. (Asa B., William F.) Born on 1 Dec 1883 in Borden, Clark County, Indiana, Carrie died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles County, California on 26 Dec 1978; she was 95. On 10 Jul 1904 when Carrie was 20, she first married James Edward TACKETT 10 Jul 1904 in Harristown, IN. After being widowed in 1941, Carrie second married Newton CHANDLER on 26 Jun 1948 in Shelbyville, Shelby County, Indiana. Born on 24 Dec 1881, Newt died in Indiana in Aug 1969; he was 87.

Nettie Margaret CREAMER. (Asa B., William F.) Born on 1 Nov 1885 in Indiana, Nettie died in Superior, Washtenaw County, Indiana on 21 Mar 1985; she was 99. On 16 Jul 1906 when Nettie Margaret was 20, she first married Clifford FUGIT, son of Theodore FUGIT & Susan SHIPTON, in Washington County, Indiana. Born circa 1886 in Indiana. He was a carpenter and foreman in a machine shop. Family tradition says he was somewhat of a vagabond. They were divorced. They had the following children:

Nettie second married Walter C. SCHELLENBERGER. Born on 17 Mar 1895, Walter died in Southfield, Oakland County, Michigan on 6 Sep 1987; he was 92. He was a doctor.

Carrie called this sister "Betty." It used to drive my grandmother crazy; she couldn't figure out how how "Betty" came from either "Nettie" or "Margaret."

Ada CREAMER. (Asa B., William F.) Born on 6 Aug 1892 in Indiana. On 9 Dec 1909 when Ada was 17, she married Charles Russell ALLEN, in Washington County, Indiana. (Born on 10 Jan 1884). They had three children.

Naomi CREAMER. (Asa B., William F.) Born on 28 May 1894 in Indiana. On 4 Sep 1915 when Naomi was 21, she married Jamess F. DICKSON OR DIXON, in Floyd County, Indiana. (Born circa 1889 in Indiana). They had one child.

Florence CREAMER. (Asa B., William F.) Born in Oct 1896 in Indiana. Florence married unknown BROWN.

Chester L. CREAMER. (Asa B., William F.) Born on 26 Oct 1898 in Washington Township, Washington County, Indiana, Chet died in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky on 2 May 1991; he was 92. Buried on 5 May 1991 in Evergreen Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. He was a commercial refrigerator salesman and a member of Audubon Park United Methodist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Chester married Isabel "Toots" LERST. Born on 22 Jun 1902, Isabel died in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky on 5 Mar 1998; she was 95.

Rev. Noris E. SPURGEON. (Jane E., William F.) Born on 16 Apr 1886 in Indiana. He was a Christian minister. On 19 May 1908 when Noris E. was 22, he married Cleadis Alberta FARNSLEY, daughter of John Franklin FARNSLEY & Martha "Mattie" Belle COMBS, in Floyd County, Indiana. Born on 16 Aug 1885 in Harrison County, Indiana, Cleadis died in Henryville, Clark County, Indiana in May 1948, she was 62. They had two children.

Mary Evaline SPURGEON. (Jane E., William F.) Born on 31 Dec 1887 in Indiana, Mayme died in Washington County, Indiana on 5 Dec 1972; she was 84. Buried in Bethel Cemetery, Polk Twp, Washington County, Indiana. On 25 Aug 1910 when Mayme was 22, she first married Dr. Warrick BARNETT, son of John BARNETT, in Warrick County, Indiana. Born on 8 Jul 1882 in Indiana, Warrick died in Washington County, Indiana on 8 Feb 1920, he was 37. They had the following children:

Mayme second married Rev. unknown HORTON.

Blanche CREAMER. (William F., William F.) Born on 5 Jul 1896 in Washington County, Indiana, Blanche died in Washington County, Indiana on 5 Jul 1935; she was 39. Buried in Bethel Cemetery, Polk Township, Washington County, Indiana. Blanche first married Peter KUTKOS. On 8 May 1916 when Blanche was 19, she second married Tony HEDRICK, in Washington County, Indiana.

Sally May CREAMER. (William F., William F.) Born on 13 Sep 1898, Sally died on 2 Aug 1942; she was 43. Buried in Bethel Cemetery, Polk Township, Washington County, Indiana. Sally married Baxter MAUDLIN. They had one child:

Grant L. CREAMER. (Dennis A., William F.) Born in Apr 1896 in Indiana, Grant died in Jefferson County, Kentucky on 27 Feb 1954; he was 57.

Fourth Generation

Lawrence Roger FUGIT. (Nettie M., Asa B., William F.) Born on 12 May 1907 in Indiana, Lawrence died in Vincennes, Knox County, Indiana on 10 Jul 1993; he was 86. He was a Chrisitan minister. He was educated, speaking some Greek and Hebrew, and was familiar with the classics.)
