The following images are of the Whitford Family Cemetery in the Caton
Community of Craven County, North Carolina. The cemetery is located on S.R. 1003
(Aurora Road) about 4.6 miles east of US Highway 17. The cemetery is up a lane
across from the intersection of Aurora Road and Guinea Mill Road. The photos
were taken April 1, 2006 by Victor T. Jones, Jr. The transcriptions of the
tombstones were taken from the photographs and from Whitford compiled by
Vera H. Whitford in 1972.
