My fathers name is Charles WEGG. He came from Sheringham, Norfolk, England. He has two brothers Jimmy & Reggie still living in Sheringham. He also has two sisters Alice & Audrey still living in Sheringham. |

| Comments: My stumbling block is with Matilda Farrow. I have a Nov 18 1896 Marrage Certificate for Alfred Gotts and Mary Matilda Farrow. Married in Holt. She was dau of Benjamin Farrow and unknown and born in Swaffield abt 1877. John Evans Wagg married a Matilda Farrow in Swafield in 1899. Were there two Matilda Farrow's. Appreciate any help. stumbling blocks on my W*GG* line: Like Vivian, my descent is from 'John Wegg of Gresham' fame. His children and grandchildren etc were quite simple to trace, but where oh where did he originate? The Wegg / Wagg confusion was simple in comparison! |

| Comments: After many hours of online research I stumbled across this site and was finally able to learn where my Wagg relatives (Great grandparents Joseph Edward Wagg and Elizabeth Grace Morgan Wagg) came from in England before immigrating to the US and New York State.
