| The stumbling
blocks on my W*GG* line: My earliest WEGG ancestor is John WEGG of Gresham in Norfolk, England. He was married at least three times. I descend from the last marriage to Rosamund WILKINS. Who was he married to prior to Sarah FROST in 1742, and where did he come from ? There is no baptism entry for him in the Gresham PRs. |
| Comments: I hope you find my website useful in your W*GG* ancestor chase. Any suggestions for improvements ? |

| The stumbling
blocks on my W*GG* line: My great great great grandmother was Hannah Wagg. Unfortunately her baptism in 1808 gave no details of her parentage; this was true of several Wagg entries in the Barrow upon Trent, Derbyshire registers at the time. I think her parents were Thomas Wagg and Sarah (nee Bradbury)but I lack proof. Thomas was bapt at Barrow in 1758; his parents were William and Grace (nee White). Thomas' father was probably baptised at Littleover, Derbyshire in 1725 son of William and Rebecca Wagg. I suspect this William was the first Wagg to settle in South Derbyshire. I would like to hear from anyone with info re Derbyshire Waggs. |

| Comments: I am hoping to some day find out something about my great uncle Arthur Juniper, from Faversham, Kent, and why he was apparently not with my great aunt Annie (Wigg) Juniper when she lived in Toronto Canada. Annie and her little son Arthur were drowned when the Empress Of Ireland was sunk in Canadian waters in 1914 |

| The stumbling blocks on my W*GG*
line: Looking for my gggrandfather James B. Wagg born in about 1826 who was in Canada by the 1850's when he and his Ontario-born wife Malinda Pelky had two children, Emma and J. Thomas Pelkey Wegge (sic). We think he came from England. In Canada he was a miner and a tinsmith. He has hundreds of descendents here. He probably also had a sister here named Matilda (1827). If James B. and Matilda might come from your line I'd appreciate hearing from you. |

The stumbling blocks on my W*GG* line: My stumbling block is the second daughter of Mary Ann Wigg and Robert Flatman. The family were in Lound Suffolk. daughter Georgianna born 1839 married George Houghton from Hopton and in the 1881 British Census were living on the Ordes Estate, Hopton. The trail stops there although it is thought they did have issue. |
| Comments: Think the site is just great and wish I had known about it sooner. |
