James Naish and family immigrated to Ontario, Canada.  The family sailed in 1831 on the ship,  Airthry Castle.  In July 1831, the family completed their trek to the farm location in Oro twp, Simcoe, Ontario.  In November 1831, James Tabor wrote: "James Nash his in the next lot of land to me and he have a wife and five children and he desired me to mention his name in this letter and to say that he have no money nor work and what he shall to this winter he do not know to get food." 

John Nash and Christina McCallum remained in Oro, Simcoe Co., Ontario.  Their children, all born in Oro, were:
Peter Marcus born 9 Mar 1844; md Mary Ruth Corneil; immigrated to the U.S., eventually living at Cecil, Gilliam, Oregon.
Elizabeth born 1846; md Alfred Hawke 17 Sep 1868. Elizabeth died 1875 in Ont.
Marion born 1847; md Edwin Hawke 7 Oct 1767. Marion died 1932.
Margaret born 1850; died 5 Jul ?? in Oro.
Thomas born Apr 1855; md Margaret Johnson. Thomas died 7 Jun 1902 in Medonte.
Christina born 1856; married Norman Cooper.  Christina died 1938. Son Norman T.
John born 18 Aug 1856; md Dora Ann Phillips. John died 19 May 1934 North Platte, NE
Daniel born 1858 and died unmarried in 1938/39 in Nampa, Canyon, Idaho
unnamed infant born and died in 1860
Mary Ann born 13 July 1862; md Charles Walter Hare 11 Oct 1881 in Toronto. Mary died 14 Oct 1926 in Port Credit, Peel, Ontario.

Joseph Alvin born 29 Jun 1861; md Emeretta Johnson 25 Apr 1882. He died 3 Dec 1925.
James Edward born 13 Dec 1863; md Margaret Ritchie 8 Jul 1890. He died 31 Mar 1922.
