1706: Traditional year of birth ascribed to David Logan in Ulster, Ireland
1729: Traditional year of arrival in Philadelphia on ship George and Ann
1737: Traditional year of arrival in Orange County, Virginia
June 1738:  Defendant  with several others in a libel case brought by William Williams, a Presbyterian minister in Orange Co., Va.
Oct 1738: Received a wolf  bounty
May 1740: Headright grant in which he states he brought himself, Jane, William and Mary from Ireland to this colony by way of Philadelphia
Jul 1741: Daughter, Margaret baptized in Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church by John Craig
May 1743: Son, Benjamin baptized in Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church by John Craig
Mar 1745: Son, Hugh baptized in Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church by John Craig
Apr 1746: As constable,  he was ordered to immediately return clothes, wearing apparel and  goods from the estate of Thomas Lundry(deceased)  to his widow. (attached per debt of  Daniel Harris)
May 1747: Son, John baptized in Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church
Feb 1748: Sold land to Robert Craig; served as security for Samuel Wilkins; was a defendant in a chancery court case and an afsignee of John Baumgardner
Feb 1748 through May 1752: Ongoing and several court cases wherein James and Ann McCarroll  seek a restraining order against D. Logan because they are in fear of bodily hurt or death.  When the recognizance expires, they reseek it.  Court states the request is frivolous and it is denied.   Suit and countersuit between the three for trespass.
Jul 1749: Son,  William is baptized at Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church
May 1750:  Appointed surveyor of highway from John Craig's place.
Feb 1750:  Records his livestock mark: a piece out of upper side of left ear and underside of right ear.
May 1752: James McCarroll is arrested for picking the pocket of John McCown and found not guilty but is given 10 lashes at the public whipping post for disorderly  behavior.
Aug 1752: Lewis Nicoll attaches property of David Logan as follows: 12 head black cattle; his wheat, rye and field of corn; 12 sheep and 12 plates.  Sheriff ordered to sell goods at public auction.
Aug 1753: D. Logan, plaintiff vs John Thomas, defendant. - debt
Nov 1754: Henry Martin vs David Logan - debt
Feb 1757: Houron Hood vs David Logan. Petition abated by death of defendant.


David Logan and Jane McKinley had children:
