My interest in family tree research goes back to my days as a little boy, when
I was fascinated by the amount of information my older brother was able to
compile for a college history class project on his family tree. I began my research in earnest after the
birth of my children and have made great strides in extending the family tree
in all directions.
I first
would like to thank all of those who have been my inspiration for this
passion….
To my brother, John, whose 1980 college
project first got me interested.
To my mother, Mary Bowes, and her countless
hours of research while helping my brother gather his supporting information.
To my father, John “Jack” Bowes, who was
continually amazed every time I uncovered a new wrinkle in the family
tree. I dedicate this website to you,
Dad, and I know you are always looking down on me from above.
To my children, Ryan and Holly, so that you
may learn about your heritage and pass that heritage on to your children and
your children’s children.
A special thanks also goes out to all of you
who have assisted me in my research in one way or another over the years. The
list gets longer and longer. You know
who you are and I couldn’t have done it without you.
