The Will of Miriam Vines of Tytherton
Spinster daughter (1771) of Charles1722 and Mary Baker of Vines Farm Grittenham

I Miriam Vines, being of sound mind and understanding, hereby declare this to be my last will and testament, that Mr John Hughes of Tytherton Kellaways be my whole and sole executor after my decease.

I will and bequeath to my brother Joshua a mourning ring also to his wife a mourning ring and to their son Charles a mourning ring. To their surviving daughters my ornaments in general, together with my lace dress, my gauze dress, blue silk slip, white and coloured kid shoes and silk stockings and my new silk coat likewise my Clark lace polifoe? my Clark lace cloak and two Clark lace voils.

To Mr John Hughes a mourning ring, to his son Thomas a mourning ring, likewise to his son Joseph a mourning ring. 

To my sister Martha a mourning ring and every other article after what is mentioned as legacies are selected. To her four daughters a mourning ring and all my best muslins together with my fawn coloured  satin dress and my dark puce  colour satin dress. Also a dozen and a half fine cloth shifts.

To my sister Maria a striped dress with a drop? fl??? at the bottom.

To each of Mr  John Hughes children namely Thomas Jane and Joseph one hundred pounds each in lawful money.

To my sister Mary my polifoe? and plaid cloak. To her three daughters namely Mary Ann, Maria and Bethia one hundred pounds each in the 3 per cent consols. To her son William twenty pounds in the 3 per cent consols. Out of the above sums must be paid annually three pounds towards the maintenance of my sister Sarah during her natural life.
