The Will of John Vines
of Dauntsey 10th June 1687
I John Vines of Dauntsy in
the County of Wilts, husbandman, being of good and perfect memory and understanding
though weake in body, Doe make this my last will and testament in manner
as followeth.
Imp. I comit my soul in to
the hands of God in hopes of eternal life through the merits of Jesus Christ
and my body to be buried acording to the discretion of my loving sister
Joane Vines too whome I give all my goods and chatels and estate, raeall
and personall and doe ordaine and maeke my sayd loving sister Joane Vines
my whole and sole execkutrix of this my last will and testament, revoking
all former wills and doe publish and declare this to be my last will. In
witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand seale the tenth day of June
one thousand six hundred eighty seven.
