The Will of Edward Vines,
Professor of Music
This is the last will and testament of me Edward Vines of Maidenhead in the county of Berks, Professor of Music. I give devise and bequeath unto my brother Joseph Vines of Newbury in the said county, Attorney at Law, his heirs executors and administrators all such messuages? lands tenements and hereditaments as shall be at the time of my decease vested in me in trust for any person or persons or by way of mortgage to hold the same unto and to the use of the said Joseph Vines his heirs or executors and administrators according to the different natures and qualities thereof and for all my estate term and interest therein to the intent that the said Joseph may make conveyances or assignments of such trust estates according to the trusts affecting the same. And I give all the
rest of my property whatsoever and wheresoever unto the said Joseph Vines
his heirs executors and administrators for his own use and benefit and
appoint him sole executor.
Signed published and declared by the said Edward Vines the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us being present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other hereunto subscribe our names as witnesses W Adams Clerks to the said Joseph Vines Proved at London 13th November
1857 before the worshipful Maurice Charles Mortlind? ??? Doctor of Laws
and Surrogate by the oath of Joseph Vines the brother the sole executor
to whom admon was granted having been first sworn duly to administer.

Professor of Music at Maidenhead, Berks, is the son of Jacob1756
Vines, solicitor of Reading and Sarah Bryant, brother of Joseph, solicitor
of Newbury and Uriah, auctioneer of Newbury. Baptised 1792 at East Tytherton,
died at Reading 1757. There is no evidence in the will that he married.
