David was born at Brinkworth 1760 to Edward1725 and Ann Henly. He married in 1784 at Reading and lived at Grovelands Farm, Tilehurst, near Reading Berks. His estate was large and brought in a substantial income. After his last child was born he moved to Battle Farm closer to Reading. All the family were well educated and prosperous in business.
He had a cheese monger business in Reading.
He strongly resisted Anns marriage to Isaac Blowers Ward and his will of 1828 shows this.

Born at Reading 1787, married Sarah Hellas at Odiham, Hants 1808. They had 14 children, some of whom migrated to America.

Born at Reading 1788, died 1845. Married Elizabeth Brown 1832.

"He was a schoolmaster of Black Beach London [probably Black Heath.] From mention made of him it is inferred that his wife was blind; she was possessed of some means.
He died suddenly on the day that Mrs Ann Ward [his sister] and two children sailed for home from Portsmouthafter their visit in England." Harry Parker Ward in his book 1900.

Born at Reading 1790, died 1874. Married Thomas Walker a wine merchant of London, in 1811 and had 7 children. They were well educated and all prosperous.
Martha maintained a friendly and affectionate correspondence with her youngest sister Ann Ward in America, according to Harry Parker Ward.

Born at Reading 1792, died 1852, buried at Kingsland Cemetery. Married Elizabeth Champion 1812, had 9 children.
According to Harry Parker Ward he "carried on a milling business."

Born Reading 1793, died London1866, buried at Bushey. Caleb was a solicitor and investor and owned about 150 freehold and leasehold properties in the east end of London. He married a widow Rebecca (Moore) Bowen. He had two children: Sophia suffered from mental illness and Caleb jnr. died young in 1838 in Kingsland Rd London.
He lived at No. 28 Canonbury Square, Islington, London but maintained a country house at Bushey near Watford in Hertfordshire.

Harry Parker Ward descried him as "a most peculiar and stubborn man ... He would not for ten years forgive his sister Sophia for being ... a legal witness to the marriage of his step-daughter, Miss Rebecca Bowen, to Frederick, his bother Jabez Vines son."

Born at Reading 1795, married Hannah Cook of London 1822, had 14 children. Migrated with many of family to Geelong Australia in Dec 1854 on "Donald McKay". Died 1876.

Born 1797 at Reading. With sister Sarah was a missionary at Auxerre in Province of Yonne, France for 25 years. Died 1870. Never married.

Born at Reading 1798,Sarah established a Protestant mission at Auxerre in Province of Yonne, France. Died 1875. Never married.
After 1845 her sister Sophia joined her and they spent the rest of their lives there.

Born at Reading 1800, Edward was a miller and farmer near Basingstoke, Hants. He married Sarah Ann Mills of Sherfield ("a woman of much culture and excellent social position" Harry Parker Ward 1900) and had 8 children.

Born at Reading 1803. Married Isaac Blowers Ward a doctor from Norfolk, and both changed religions. Because of her fathers strong opposition to the marriage they migrated to America 1830. They had 9 children. Settled at Zanesville Ohio.
A book written and published by Harry Parker Ward "The Life of Dr Isaac Blowers Ward (1800-1843) and of his Wife Ann Vines(1803-1852)" gives much information on their lives. Published in Columbus Ohio 1900.
