I Benjamin Vines of the city
of Bristol, Tallow Chandler do hereby give and bequeath all and singular
my estates monies property and effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto
my dear and loving wife Cecilia Vines, her executors and administrators
and assigns ??? for ever, subject nevertheless to and ??? with the payment
of all my debts funeral and testamentary charges and expenses due.
I appoint her the executrix,
??? and guardian of all my children, and I request my brother Jacob
Vines of Reading Berks, attorney at Law, my good friend Francis
Marychurch Sabler? of Upper Mansine? same city and county of Bristol, and
??? ???, soap boiler of St Thos. Street, city and county of
Bristol, will do me the favour to allow my said wife to have the benefit
of their good counsel and advice regarding the management of my business
and the education of my children and I ??? of her to avail herself
of such good counsel and advice in all her own family affairs and hereby
revoking all former wills by me made. I declare this alone to be my last
will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
seal the 1 day of Dec one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine.

and testament in the presence of us Uriah Vines---R Grimes.
Proved at London 12th Aug
1848 before the Worshipful Frederic Thomas ??? Doctor of Laws and
Surrogate by the oath of Cecilia Vines ??? ??? ??/ the sole
executrix to whom admon was granted.
This
Benjamin's wife Cecilia made a bequest to "Ann
Vines Spinster now residing at the Moravian Sisters house situate at
East Tytherton" in her 1848 will. Benjamin1769s
brother Edward1767 in his 1840 will mentions "my
only surviving sister Ann Millard"
who married in 1797 so this is not Benjamin1769.

son of my brother James."

concluded that Benjamin of Bristol was the son of James1758 and Margaret
Vines, (daughter of Charles1722) born 1792, who married Cecilia Dunn at
Clifton, Bristol in 1814.
