Peter (Pierre) RENO
In 1870, Peter Renno lived next door to his father, John, appeared to ahve a wife, Amira, 10 years older than he and born in Canada, and an infant son, Peter. He appears to have gotten his own age wrong; in earlier years he was reported as born around 1849. This census reports him born around 1852. He worked in a boot factory. In 1880 he worked in a woolen mill. In 1900 he was a day laborer. In 1900 four of his children were spectacle makers, lens focusing, case maker,worked at an optical mill. In 1910, he was a laborer in a spec shop. 1870 census said he couldn't read or write. Peter married Hermise GAUDREAU on 28 Sep 1868 in Southbridge, Worcester, Massachusetts. (Hermise GAUDREAU was born in Jan 1849 in Quebec and died after 1910.) |
