General Notes:
Death certificate 1903, vol 43, p 32. No image available.
She was born in Canada. Bev has her as Julia Jolicoeur, and every single record that names her has Julia Hart. It is possible she had previously married. DOB is from 1900 census.
Julia's family was known only as Jolicoeur in Canada. ACtually it was a dit name. In Essex County, NY, they used the name Hart, atleast publicly. Atleast some church records used the name Jolicoeur. When they moved to Northampton, Massachusetts, some of them began to use the name Jolicoeur again. Bev was told that Abraham "Tacy" married Julie "Jolicoeur".
She was christened Georgina at Ste-Genevieve in Berthier. 1900 census gives her dob as Jan 1850, proving this is same individual. In 1860 census she is called Sophie.
Help on this line came from lookups by Claire Lemyre, jacquesclemyre@sympatico.ca, Francis Watters, wattersft@gowebway.com, and Suzette Leclair of the local genealogical society in Lanaudiere, the region where Julia's father Joseph came from. Also Huguette, not sure who she is, but she and Claire Lambert posted a bunch of information to the Berthier County Rootsweb message board in reply to my queries.
Julia married Abraham TACY (TESSIER), son of Abraham (Abram, Amable) TACY (TESSIER) and Rosilla LUCK, about 1872. (Abraham TACY (TESSIER) was born in Jun 1845 in Clintonville or Plattsburg, Clinton, New York.)
