In various records where Hillyard Hicks is listed, we have found his name spelled several different ways, these are the spelling that I have found him:

Census, Land Records, Marriage Records, Death, Obituary Records list, Millitary Records and Pension Records.

The Earlier records list him as Hix.

 Hillyard/Hilyard/Hilliard and last name spelt  Hicks/Hix.
