Samuel Eskridge Hicks was in the military during the Civil War, and remained in Kansas, Chase County after the Civil War. He was wounded in the war.

E.C. Hicks Lived in Chico, Butte Co. Ca.

Daniel Crawford Hicks moved to Paradise, Butte Co. Ca.

Hillyard Stephen Hicks moved to Chase County,Kansas where he had a family, lived there for some time. Later in his life, he sold his property in Kansas, moved to Hillsborough Co. Florida, to grow oranges, where his wife died and three years later he married a widow Sarah A. Colthern.

David W. Hicks moved and lived in Santa Anna, Ca. was alive, age 62 years old at 1909, when John Wesley Hicks died.

Taletha Ione Hicks married  Newton Francis Speegle (a brother to Dorothy Speegle)and lived in the State of Washington

Margaret Emma Hicks  The youngest child of Hillyard was a child when they moved to Chico, Butte Co. Ca. where she lived and was married to James Brown. They had 2 daughters and 3 sons. She later married John Montgomery, we need more information on this lineage.
