FUNERAL
This afternoon the funeral of Mr. Hilyard Hicks took place from the South Methodist Church. The deceased was a veteran of the War of 1812. He was over 86 years of age and maintained his mental faculties up to the day of his death. Mr. Hicks was well known in this vicinity.
