Dear Nephew
I have written a title but
do not know that it is absolutely correct and will send it as soon as I
can see a J.P. and sign it
and I would like to know who
is bothering you about this strip of land. Who owns the land next
to it up toward
Sherod's: Have you been paying
taxes on it all this time since I give it to you? if so that would
give you a title to it. If
the description I give don't
suit send it back corrected and I will fix it. When I sold my place
to Will Quin I told him and
Sherod that I had given you
this land. the weather is cold and I am sick and will quit writing now.
hope to hear from you
soon. Aff your Uncle
Rowland. Love to all.

Dear Nephew, I am in a critical
condition and do not know how my sickness will end. If you can come
up to see me
you had better do it right
away as I would like to see you anyway. Don't be alarmed as I have
been sick about a month
with indigestion. cannot
eat but little and cannot sleep laying down. My feet & legs are
swollen badly. I would write
a letter but do not feel able
to do it. If you come bring Jim & Will some plants and if you don't
come send them a lot. I
am noding as I write this.
Love to all. You will be wired if necessary on my account.
Affect. your Uncle Rowland
T. Hart, M.D.
