This site is part of the Geography and Map Division of Library of Congress. Maps are classified in seven groups: Cities and Towns, Conservation and Environment, Discovery and Exploration, General Maps, Cultural Landscapes, Military Battles and Campaigns, and Transportation and Communication. You can search by keyword or browse using several indexes: Subject , Creator, Geographic Location and Title.'s Map Page

Part of US GenWeb, they house a collection of 1895 maps of Vermont  as well as each of the counties. In addition, there are charts with town information, including 1895 population figures. If you're doing research on the period, this site is a must. Contains information on every state:
