The society is refurbishing a 1820 house/blacksmith shop to become its headquarters and a musem that will display all types of artifacts and manuscripts pertaining to life in Dover and the region from the late 1700s to the present. The museum opened 24 May 1999. Please contact the Society to donate items related to Dover history. Contact Person: Nelson Bond, Treasurer. Hours and Admission: Memorial Day to Columbus Day. Weds 10-12 & 2-4. Adults: $3.00. Eleven & under:$1.00. Main museum area (1st floor) is handicap accessible.
