January 2003

Killington was the original name of this township, but it was later changed to Sherburne. This name change caused a great deal of confusion as people were looking for Killington, believing the township and the name of the ski resort were one and the same. In 1999, the residents of Shelburne decided to revert to the town's original name, Killington.
