The Yaracuy state is located in the center-West of the country
and limits by the North with the state Falcon, to the
East with the states Carabobo and Cojedes,
to the West with the state Lara and to the South with
the states Cojedes and Portuguesa.
The territory of the Yaracuy state belonged to the Province of
Venezuela, created in 1527, soon to the Province of Caracas and later to the
Province of Carabobo. By means of the Law of Territorial Políitico Division of
the Republic of 1824, the territories of the Yaracuy state were
included/understood the Province of Carabobo, to which the corners of San
Felipe, Yaritagua and Nirgua belonged. In the territorial division of 1856,
Yaracuy had been erected and was one of the 21 territorial units that conformed
to the country.
In 1864, under the Federalist Constitution Yaracuy state happens
to denominate itself and in later years it was object of several modifications
until the year 1899, when twenty federal states according to the Constitution of
1864 settle down, among them Yaracuy, that since then stays like federal
organization.
