The Sucre state is located in the northeastern end of the
country and limits by the North with the Caribbean Sea and the Nueva
Esparta state ; to the South, with the states Anzoátegui
and Monagas, to the East with the Gulf of Cariaco and
to the West with the Gulf of Pariah.
The Province of Andalusia or Province of Cumaná, for year 1726
was integrated by the territories of Cumaná, Guayana, Barcelona, Maturín and
the island of Trinidad. This organization went disintegrating itself when
becoming Guayana and Barcelona in independent provinces, passing the island of
Trinidad to be able of the English. In the year of 1777, the Post of
captain-general of Venezuela, formed by seven provinces is created, between
which was the Province of Cumaná.
When being dissolved the Great Colombia, the Constitution of
1830 divides to the country in 11 provinces, remaining unalterable the Province
of Cumaná, until the Constitution of 1856 when it was divided to the country in
21 territorial organizations, constituting the Province of separated Maturín of
the Province of Cumaná. By the Constitution of 1864, the provinces are declared
independent states and the state of Cumaná is divided to the country in 20
states, ratifying itself. But in 1879, a Plenipotenciario Congress fragments to
the country in seven great states, one of them called state of East, formed by
the territory included/understood by the previous provinces of Cumaná,
Barcelona and Maturín.
In 1891, the name of Great Bermúdez State is given to the state
of East, until 1898 when it dissolves and the sections of Maturín and Cumaná
were integrated forming the Sucre state. The Constitution of 1901, creates
separated the Sucre state of Maturín and in 1904 it returned to be united to
the provinces of Barcelona and Maturín to integrate, once again, is been Bermúdez,
with capital in Cumaná. In 1909, by means of another constitutional reform,
Cumaná and Maturín separate definitively, being created the states Sucre and
Monagas.

The
Family History Centers are part of the Church of Jesus Christ of the
Latter-day Saints and are available to their members to fulfill the
covenant of Family Sealing.
However,
they also provide an important service to the general public, allowing
them access to their vast library of microfilmed civil records, ecclesiastic
records, and many other documents of genealogical value without having
to be a member of their church.
These
centers are staffed with voluntary teams and there is no charge for the
use of their facilities, except for some nominal fees for photocopies,
pedigree charts, film rentals, etc.
