Estoy buscando el acta de bautismo de mi bisabuela : Victoria del Carmen NUÑEZ nacida el 27 de octubre de 1851 en Calabozo (Estado Guárico) y el acta de defunción de su madre : Rita GOIGOECHEA esposa de Rafael NUÑEZ fallecida el 20 de noviembre de 1855 en Valencia (Estado Carabobo) 1) ¿ Le sería posible decirme si existen en Valencia y Calabozo unas asociaciones genealógicas con las cuales me podría poner en relación, y en caso afirmativo, cuáles son sus señas ? 2) ¿ A qué servicio administrativo o religioso tengo que dirigirme para conseguir estos documentos ? Prudencia LAVARTE was my paternal grandmother. Her parents owned and operated marble quarries in Caracas (I believe). Prudencia married my grandfather Horacio and was then cut off from the family, apparently because of the different social status. My father, Horacio GILL, left Caracas at the age of one. He was sent with Aunts' Cruz and Martha because of illness. His mother Prudencia came to visit 17 years later to visit him and contracted Pneumonia on her return to Caracas. My father, Horacio, was born in 1916 approx. I heard there was a fire in Caracas that may have destroyed any chance of locating information. Thank you.

Can you tell me in what state the town of Concejo is located and what the name of the parish church might be. Estoy interesada en conocer quienes eran mis antepasados en Venezuela tengo conocimiento de que mi apellido no es muy comun en Venezuela lo trajo mi bisabuela supuestamente de España como emigrante en el siglo XIX aproximadamente en 1880 llego en un barco con dos hermanas mas las cuales se fueron tomamdo diferentes caminos dos de ellas entre esa mi abuela se fue para el Guarico supuestamente en Chaguaramas y una de las tres se fue a Bolivar. Mi abuela se llamaba Maria GAVANTE (Estimado el otro nombre supuestamente es Josefina) mi abuelo nacio 1898 y se llamo Augusto GAVANTE pero quiero saber si realmente esta era mi bisaabuela, si realmente vino de España y asi poder contruir el arbol genealogico. Tengo versiones sobre mi apellido pero quiero confirmar si esta es real. Siempre he querido investigar el origen de mi apellido pero hasta ahora solo tengo versiones. gracias

I am looking for information re my great grandfather, Jose Eusebio ACOSTA (or de Acosta). He was a general in the mid-1800s, came from a military family etc etc (which originated in Aragon, but had been in South America for some generations), and ran for president of Venezuela and lost! He was as I understand supposed to have been buried in national Pantheon in Caracas, but popular acclaim of his home city of Cumana' was instead interred in the cathedral there. His wife I believe was Rosa BENITEZ de SARRIA y HURTADO. My grandmother was Josephina de ACOSTA, born San Mauricio, Caracas, 29.9.1878. My mother, Margherita FALCON, born New York, 8.2.1910, father Thomas Alberto FALCON, Lunce Peru, 16.5.1861, a diplomat who became ecutive vice-president of W.R. Grace in New York. Other family names on this side include those of SARRIA de MCGILL. Last person to have heard mention of was Julio SARRIA ACOSTA, address: Villa Sole, Salutiano Norte 17, No 5, Caracas. My name is Bruce Johnston! n, I am the correspondent in Rome, Italy of the Daily Correspondent of London, and most anxious to have word of some of family, which is too vast to keep track of. I'm trying to locate my grandfather that imigrate to Venezuela, city of Caracas in 1955. He is originally from the Cape verde Islands(S.tiago island). I believe, since he left, he wrote my grandmother once or twice back in 1955 and at the time, his address in Caracas was 'cafe losange del cimiteiro'. This is all the information I have to go by. Anyways, my grandfather's name is as followed: Joao LOPES GOMES his father's name: Timotio Raimundo Gomes his mother's name: Sabastiana Lopes It would be very much appreciatted if any information can be found on this search.
