DIAZ, GIL, GONZALEZ, MORANTE, MORANTES posted by David S Morante on Friday, August 6, 1999

Any information (father of, birthplace of, birthdate, etc) of Melicio MORANTE. For your information, Melicio MORANTES (fdf: 5/1898) was married to Basilia MORANTES (fdf: 20/5/11 in Los Teques, Miranda). Prior research has led me to believe that Melicio MORANTES was related to (el tio de?) Pedro Maria MORANTES, better known as Pio GIL (the poet from Tachira who was the son of Miguel MORANTE). One of Melicio MORANTES' son's was Gabriel MORANTE (fdn: 1846, fdf: 5/9/26 in El Castillo), whose first wife was Froilana GONZALEZ (died in Los Teques, Miranda). The oldest of Papa Gabriel's sons was Nicolas MORANTE (fdn: 1881 in Los Teques, Miranda, fdf: 7/10/38 in Maqutia) who was married to Ruperta DIAZ (fdn: 1889, fdf: 7/2/49 in Los Teques); their only son was my abuelo, Nicolas Ramon MORANTE (3/11/15 in Los Teques, Miranda, fdf: 3/10/97 in Los Teques, Miranda).
