Yo estoy en la busqueda de mis ancestros y conseguí que el apellido SORNES (Sørnes) es Noruego , pero estoy buscando el full name de mi tatara abuelo que llegó a Venezuela entre 1835-1840 , ya que Sornes es el nombre de una granja en Noruega que se usaba como tercer apellido. El apellido POLEO según historia familiares es de origen Griego , pero estoy en esa busqueda . Se que en libro de Herrera Luque ( Los Amos del Valle ) , aparece un Pedro Poleo como uno de los amos del valle. Me gustaría participar con ustedes en este esfuerzo en genealogía en la Web , ya que soy aficionado a estos temas y a la historia. Saludos , Gonzalo Sornes

I'm researching family-name VILLANUEVA, with origins in Venezuela. One of that family moved over to nearby island TRINIDAD, in the latter part of the 1800's, and from him is descended my wife. Researching in Trinidad from Jan.18th. - Jan.28th, 1998, so I'll be away from my computer for that time. Would love to hear from you, after I get back.

My grandfathers name was Elueterio MELENDEZ he lived in Caracus in the 1890-1900 he either was born in Spain or Venezuela. I believed he left because of the revolution. my father didnt tell me too much. He must have studed in Caracus music.he was a music teacher in Puerto Rico. My wife is descended from Pablo VILLANUEVA, who reportedly fled one of Venezuela's several 19th.Century revolutions, and came to Trinidad, where my wife was born.
