John Page esquire Governor of the commonwealth of Virginia to all to whom these presents shall come greeting: Know ye, that by virtue of an exchanged treasury warrant number eight hundred and three issued the fifth of July seventeen hundred and ninety seven there is granted by the said commonwealth unto Philip Wickle assignee of Bradley Dolton a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and sixty two and a half acres by survey bearing date the twenty second day of June eighteen hundred and one, lying and being in the county of Monroe on back creek and some of the waters of Indian creek joining the land of John Maddocks, William Campbell, George Spickart, William Fletcher and the heirs of Mathias Kisinger deceased and bounded as followeth to wit:

Beginning at two beeches on back creek corner to Maddocks and with his line North eighty four degrees east forty four poles to a buckeye and sugar tree - North sixty five degrees east seventy four poles to two lynns and a white - North fifty one degrees east one hundred poles to two large white oaks corner to same and leaving it South twenty seven degrees east thirty six poles to a black oak and chestnut oak corner to Campbell and with the same South forty five degrees west seventy four poles to two white oaks and South seventy one degrees east forty seven poles to two white oaks corner to same on Scarbroughs line and with said line South thirty nine degrees west five poles to a black oak and walnut corner to same and with it South nineteen degrees west forty one poles to a locust and dogwood by a fence - South eight degrees west sixty six poles to a white oak - North seventy seven degrees west thirty eight poles to pointers - South fifty degrees west thirty three poles to two red oaks - South twelve degrees west twenty six poles to a red oak corner to and with Fletcher - South seventy eight degrees west forty two poles to a chestnut and chestnut oak corner to and leave the same North forty seven degrees west forty six poles to a white oak corner to and with Kisinger - North fifty degrees east sixty poles to two white oaks - North twenty five degrees west twenty seven poles to a white oak, red oak and sugar tree west forty poles to a white oak, dogwood and maple - North seventy eight degrees west ninety six poles to a chestnut oak, white oak and ironwood corner to and leave the same North fifty degrees east sixty poles to the beginning with its appurtenances: To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances, to the said Philip Wickle and his heirs for ever.
