Petition for naturaliztion lists his residence as 9702 Laird AV in Cleveland, OH adn occupation as woodworker, born 16 NOv 1888 in Toti Pusta, Hungary, immigrating from Fiume, Hungary on 1 Nov 1906 and arriving 14 Nov 1906. Wife is listed as Elizabeth born in 1893 in NaguSchen, Hungary. He has 3 children Albert 7 Apr 1913, Rudolph 16 May 1914, William 24 May 1916, and later Raymond . Affidavits of petitioner and witnesses is signed by witnesses Martin Mastich, cabinet maker residing at 2138 W 40th St Cleveland, and Ignactz Fancshaly, woodworker residing at 3055 Fulton Rd.

Born Hungary/Magyar and so where his parents. He immigrated to USA in 1904 and is an alien. Speaks the Magyar language. Trade is a laborer. Works for the street dept. He works on his own account. not out of work on april 15, 1910. He is able to read and write. FArm scheldule 15. (Dispcrepancies are town of residency, John said he was in Cleveland. Year of immigration should be 1906.)

Another family also lives in the same house: George and Anna Zajac? also of austria Slovenia. (Discrepancies are place of birth of him and parents should be Hungary or Magyar. Year of immigration should be 1906, age should be 21.)

Hamburg passenger list FHL film #473008 lists Lajos age 53, Julianna age 21 and Erzebeth age 19 leaving on ship Blucher on 25 SEp 1910 from hamberg to New York. hometown Vizakna,OCCUPATION: Dressmaker\seamstress by trade, worked in dress shops and homes. But mostly a housewife.
RELIGION: She was a certified instsructor of The Superet Atom Aura Science- Light Law and Order of Los Angeles California. She was an ordained minister of A.B.C.D. degree of The Superet Light Doctrine Church of Los Angeles California on May 10, 1964.
Traveled to Hungary with sister Julia and son Raymond in June 1939. Julia paid all expenses. Elizabeth wanted to stay in Hungary but things didn't go well and had to come home about mid December 1939. When Julia returned the two sisters didn't talk to each other except at Hungarian social events.

Came to US with daughters Elizabeth & Julia Oct 5 1910 on Ship Bluchel departed from Hamburg, Germany.Cought the flu in Cleveland, turned to pnemonia, heart was damaged. Died in Cleveland, Ohio and buried. Many of his children died as babies. Two daughters one son and wife stayed in Hungary and were expecting to come to US. But when he died the rest of the family stayed in Hungary. One of the daughters in hungary (Susan)was a nurse and lived with an aunt in the city, she learned to speak english. and the other daughter served for a living. the son was ill most of his life. Elizabeth always said there was a sheepskin and bible with the family history on it. Verda Varga wrote to the last members of the family living and they hadn't seen it. The family was care keepers of a very wealthy family. Their house was on the land of the family they worked for.
Daughter Elizabeth said: He was a shoemaker, in his own shop. he made custom shoes by hand for people with deformed feet. He was a heavy smoker (pipe). He loved corn bread. He gave up the shop and went to the city to work. He was an extremely selfish and jealous man
BURIAL: ashes sat on the mantle for many months, but then was buried in the backyard of daughter John and Elizabeth Varga. in Cleveland. Another family record of William J. Varga said the cremains were lost.
