<Idaho Yesterdays, 42:2 (Summer, 1998) p. 3>Note: John Evans Price kept a diary 921,73 P931 pr found in the Family History
Center. He records that his father was Evan Price and his mother Esther Price
(that they were cousins). But in searching the Bishop's transcript Vicki
Rasmussen has found Evan and Elizabeth of Llwincoll, Llandilor'fan having a son
Evan christened 23 Mar 1817. Evan and Elizabeth have 3 other children, then
Evan and Esther have 6 more children. Bishop's transcripts and marriage
allegations reveal no marriages of Evan and Elizabeth or Evan and Esther, or
deaths for Elizabeth or Esther. Vicki Rasmussen wrote to Wales and had the
Llandilor'fan, Brecon, Wales Parish Regisher searched by D.E. Williams of Dept.
of of Manuscripts and Records with the same results. Therefore, I feel that
Elizabeth and Esther are different wives. John Evan Price is sealed to Evan and
Esther and the work is done for his sealing to Evan and Elizabeth. John Evan
was named only Evan in the Llandilor'fan Bishop's Transcript. -On the birth
certificates of 5 of his children, he lists his occupation as: Agricultual
labourer, sawyer, carpenter, and labourer in iron mine works.
