Growing Up in Iowa

Georgina and Alphonse

Alphonse, along with his
young bride Georgina Julienne SATNAT, came to Iowa to farm. They eventually settled in Hartwick, Iowa. By the time Georgina was 40 years old, she had given Alphonse 11 children. She died in 1931 from complications after childbirth. Alphonse died in May 1965. Both my grandparents are buried at Calvary Cemetery in Victor, Iowa.
