Over the years, while doing my own research, I saved records of other obituaries from the Norfolk Virginia newspapers. I decided that I would index my lists and make the index available on this website in hopes that it will be useful to others. It is a scattered, in no particular order list and many months are incomplete.  I will add more as they are collected.

Many times an obituary was listed more than once in a newspaper. It could be found as two death notices in the same paper or a death notice and funeral notice. In order to save on space, I am listing it only once for each newspaper it appears in. You should look through each paper you see the name listed in to insure that you see all references to the individual you are looking for.

In addition to the Norfolk area, these newspapers reported deaths from across Virginia and the Eastern Shore. It also reported deaths that occurred in the eastern part of North Carolina and some deaths from other states.
