Notes for ESTHER ELLEN GRASHAM:

I'm not sure Charles Thomas is the son of Esther - perhaps I am doing her an injustice, slander etc but it seems the most reasonable bet. He has no birth cert, and is in a Boy's Home, none of the Esther's brothers are on the 1881 census and so are likely to be dead or emigrated. James Douglas Grasham is noted (also in the igi) but another boy was born to them the same year as Charles was born, unlikely they would have sent one boy to a Boys Home and kept the other! Anyway, Charles belongs somewhere in this line, so the next generation (James and Esther Percival) are his grandparents (or even parents).
