Generation No. 1

1. DAVID1 OWEN was born about 17901, and died Bet. 1841 - 18512. He married MARY Abt. 1819. She was born Abt. 1796 in Lougher3.

1851 census - Mary was living near Cawsygarw, Lougher Town. She is a labourer's widow. Also living there (apart from her children John, Charlotte, Joseph and Elizabeth, is her grandson, William Davies, aged 8, born in Lougher.

I can't find Cawsgarw on the map, but at the web site cited for the first photo there is a poll (date unknown) which says in Caws Y Garw lives a Pauper (Collier's widow), a Ship's Carpenter and a Mason.  Near Caws Y Garw lives a Labourer's Widow (could this be Mary?), and  a Farm Labourer's Widow.
