1. JOHN¹ JONES was born Abt. 1845, and died Bet. 1878 - 1880. He married HANNAH Abt. 1869. She was born Abt. 1846¹.

1881: Hannah was living at Wendre, Llangendeirne, with 6 children (including Thomas) from her first marriage to John, who had recently died. By now, however, she was newly married to Herbert Walters. Herbert appeared to be living apart from her at this time, at Pelan, Llangendeirne, where he was a farmer of 84 acres. Also in his establishment were his mother, sister and her several children.

Hannah is noted to be a farmer of 55 acres. Both she and Herbert had been recently widowed, both had children and fairly large farms to look after. Perhaps she stayed on at Wendre until it could be sold and she could move in with Herbert.

2. THOMAS² JONES (JOHN¹)² was born 1869 in Llandefeilog, and died Bef. 1913³. He married SARAH JONES June 09, 1891 in St Mary's Kidwelly. She was born July 31, 1868 in Factory, Llandefeilog.

1891: According to his marriage cert Thomas was living at Penymaes, Llandefeilog,Carmarthenshire, at the time of his marriage. This is a farm, noted on the OS map about 2 miles NW of Llandefeilog.

Soon after their marriage, Thomas and Sarah Moved to Morriston where their children were born.  Thomas became a tinplater.

3. i. DAVID REES³ JONES, b. February 20, 1892, 4 Midland Terrace, Morriston; d. June 18, 1934, Swansea Hospital.

ii. RACHEL JONES, b. Abt. 1895.

 

3. DAVID REES³ JONES (THOMAS², JOHN¹) was born February 20, 1892 in 4 Midland Terrace, Morriston, and died June 18, 1934 in Swansea Hospital. He married MARY ANN CLARKE May 24, 1913 in St Davids Church, Morriston. She was born March 18, 1893 in Morriston.                               Morriston Cross, 1917, near Sway Rd

David lived at 120 Clydach Rd, Morriston (this later became Sway Road) up till his death.

i. DEBORAH⁴ JONES, b. October 19, 1913, Morriston; d. October 20, 1913, Morriston.

vi. VALERIE JONES, b. 1932.

 

4. BERYL⁴ JONES (DAVID REES³, THOMAS², JOHN¹) was born June 1920. She married TREVOR JONES 1940. He died February 2001 in Morriston Hospital.

5. CHARLOTTE CLARKE⁴ JONES (DAVID REES³, THOMAS², JOHN¹) was born 1925 in Morriston, and died 2000 in Cornwall. She married FREDERICK WILKINS May 1944 in West Tilbury, Essex. He was born 1924 in Essex, and died 1988 in Cornwall.

i. VALERIE ANNE⁵ WILKINS, b. 1946.

ii. PATRICIA FLORENCE WILKINS, b. 1949.

iii. KENNETH CHARLES WILKINS, b. 1960.

6. DAVID⁵ JONES (BERYL⁴, DAVID REES³, THOMAS², JOHN¹) was born Abt. 1944. He married SHEILA.
