ABT 1824 - ____ BIRTH: ABT 1824, Virginia Father: Delaney Dodson (D D) VADEN MARRIAGE: 16 DEC 1845, Gibson County, Tennessee, License filed December 16, 1845, Henry G Hunt, BM NOTES: The 1860 US Census for Pulaski County, Arkansas list Richard's name as Richard L. on Rootsweb. This is a mistype. The census image is a cursive S. Census List Richard S (36, b Va), Cynthia (35, b Tn), with children Josiah G (13, b TN), Victoria (11 or 12, b Tn), Lyda (8, b Tn), William D (5, b. Tn). . Charlie Vines There is another R S Vaden(b. tn) listed in the 1860 US Census of Jefferson County, Arkansas. His age is 35 (as compared to Richard in Pulaski County). R S’s wife is also a Cynthia(b tn), but her age is 40 (as compared to 35 for Cynthia J Pulaski County). Children are Joseph(12,b tn), William(5,b tn), Francis(13,b tn (name hard to read)), and Lidia (10,b tn). Census info is September 15, 1860 in Dudley Lake Township. I do know that Richard S Vaden married Cynthia J Boon in Gibson County. Pulaski and Jefferson counties are neighboring counties. I do not know what area of their respective county’s the two Vaden lived (other than the township). At this time I do not know if these the same person. For the moment, I am assuming not. Further research required.
