Marshall Harrison Vaden’s Obituary

VADEN, Marshall Harrison, 73, of Blacksburg, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2003, at his home. 

He was born in Mortgomery County, Va. on January 5, 1930, to the late Jay Leonard and Ethel Minnie Jones Vaden. 

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Lee Vaden and Lewis Joseph Vaden. 

He is survived by his wife, Julia Kyle Campbell Vaden; four daughters, Jo Ann All, New Castle, Diane Reynolds, Blacksburg, Linda Allen, Salem, Brenda Roslewicz, Vinton; his son Richard Monroe Vaden, Christiansburg; five sisters, Edna Mae Hodges, Chesapeake, Fay Wilson, Richmond, Gay Stafford, Pearlsburg, Ann Vaden Lang, Richmond, Barbara Ann Shepherd, Lexington, KY; five brothers, Rador William Vaden, Alfred Monroe Vaden, Clarence Allen Vaden, Randolph Dewey Vaden, Lonnie Ray Vaden, all of Blacksburg; Twelve grandchildren, Michael All, Nikki Reynolds, Allen Reynolds, Joshua Reynolds, Jessie Allen, Nicole Allen, Shane Allen, Ashley Vaden, Daniel Vaden, Amanda Vaden, Dylan Roslewicz, Levi Roslewicz.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 29, 2003, at 11 a.m. in Blacksburg First Wesleyan Church, Giles Road, with Rev. John Hopkins officiating.  Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg.  Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Thursday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club drive, SW, Blacksburg.
