NOTES:

In the 1860 US Census of Gibson County there is a Patrick Gleason (1/10 years old) in the home of J E and Henrietta Gleason. If this the same Gleason family, then the birth date would be incorrect. The census image does not indicate the date of the Census. Gleason has been spelled Gleson, Glason, or Glasow on 1850 census indexes or listings (Charlie)
----
From the notes of Nancy Norwood Cox and Mary Ann Ongman:
Peter was a rancher, presumably in the citrus industry. He built the Gleason Hotel in Highland, California in 1900. It burn down in 1904 and was rebuilt in 1909. Mary (Peter's wife) lived here until her death. It is now called the Carrick Colonial Apartments.
———-
Nancy Norwood Cox informed me that there is a P H Gleason who married I M Slaton in Crockett county. Joseph Lock Vaden (Henrietta's younger brother) is listed as bondsman.

I found a record on the website 'Crockett County TN Marriage Records July 1872-December 1899 Surnames E-G' (http://www.rootsweb.com/~tncrocke/marriage/marrefg.html). On this page P H Gleason married a I M Slaton on October 30, 1881.

I believe this to be Peter/Patrick Henry Gleason for the following reason.
1. Joseph would be Peter's uncle (Henrietta's brother)
2. In the 1910 census of San Bernardino County, California, in the column marked 'married/single/divorce/widowed', Petered entered a 'M2' which indicates that he had been married multiple times.
3. He was living in the Friendship area of Crockett County. This would have been just before He moved to California with his mother.

If this is Peter's first wife, then we would like to know what happened to her. Did she die shortly after they married or did she make the trip to California?
Would like further confirmation.
