South Carolina

Travis Usher

Born in South Carolina in circa 1820. He later moved to Stewart County, Georgia, and married Sarah DUDNEY, 4 Jun 1844.

It is stated several times that the parents of Travis USHER were of Scotch-Irish descent. My research has found that Scots who moved over the border into Ireland were known as Scotch-Irish or Ulster Scots. I have not yet located the county of origin or the names of Travis' parents.
