This is what I have of the USHER family, which is part of my UNDERHILL family.

Original couple married in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio and then, moved to Schuyler County, Illinois. They had 8 daughters and no sons, that I know of. Margaret Underhill USHER, was the sister of my gggrandmother, Sarah Jane Underhill Arter, who remained in Zanesville, Ohio.

1. William George USHER was born 01 May 1823. He married Margaret Underhill 20 April 1846 in Muskingum County, Ohio, daughter of Anson Underhill and Margaret Ralston. She was born 22 September 1829 in Zanesville, Ohio.

I am looking for a marriage record for Martin STEDMAN when he lived in Ohio (late 1830's). He married Minerva USHER born in Geneseo, daughter of Aaron USHER. They were apparently from NY and were only in Ohio for a short time before they moved to Iowa. I don't have a marriage date nor do I know if they were married in NY or OH.
