Obituary: Mr. James Usher, 56, of 749 McElrath
Circle, died Wednesday, Sept.
29, 1999, at Macon Northside Hospital, Macon.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Union Hill Baptist Church, Tennille,
with the Rev. Tracy Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Usher, a native of Athens, had retired as a coach
and schoolteacher. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and was
president of the Retired Teachers Association. He was a member of Union Hill
Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Usher; two sons,
Michael Outlaw and Nick Outlaw, both of Wrightsville; three daughters, Catherine
Lawson and Theresa Hunt, both of Vidalia, and Natasha Usher,
Atlanta; three stepsons, Thomas Livatt, Miami, George Livatt, Sandersville, and
Willie Mallory, San Antonio; three stepdaughters, Dishon Mallory and Roxanne
Livatt, both of Miami, and Sabrina Veal, Sandersville; his father, George Usher,
Atlanta; a sister, Candice Turner, Atlanta; and 22 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Dixon, Chris Troop, Jim Snell, Brill Jenkins, Marcus
Hood and Kenneth Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Trustee Board of Union Hill Baptist
Church.
The family will receive friends after the service Saturday at the church annex.
M.C. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
