"Ralph Barnes M.A. Archdeacon of Totnes
Canon Residentiary of the Cathedral Church of Exeter, and Vicar of this parish, where for Forty years he resided in the discharge of his duty. He died at the Vicarage House May 30 1820, in the 80th year of his age, and was buried in the cathedral Church of Exeter.
