Margaret TURNBULL
Note: There is no reference to Margaret in the Melrose parish registers, either in the marriage register (though its coverage at this time is probably not fully comprehensive), or at the baptisms of any of her children (this was a time when mothers' names were not recorded at Melrose). The only reference to her I have been able to find is in the 1956 Usher book - a secondary source. I have not been able to corroborate her existence via any primary source records.
Margaret married John USHER, son of George USHER and Bessie TAIT, in 1670.2 (John USHER was christened on 26 Dec 1651 in Melrose, Roxburghshire 3.) |
