The Stuckey surname has been spelled a number of different
ways through the years: Stookey, Stukey, Stucky, Stuckie and Stucke. Tradition
tells us that the family originated in France and moved to Switzerland many
centuries ago. Most of our family are offspring of a few people who moved into
Germany since the Swiss government would not allow them to emigrate to
America.
