USA databases for states

Arizona's genealogy site: http://genealogy.az.gov/

It is suggested from a RootsWeb Review newsletter Thu Jun 8 19:29:46 2006 "not to use abreviations" spell out the names when possible.

When you know the U.S. town, but not the county, type in the name of town and state here:
http://resources.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/townco.cgi

Put the U.S. county's name and leave the state's name blank and you will get a list of the states with a county by that name.
