Here's how to subscribe:

1. Decide how you want to receive your List e-mail. You can subscribe now in 2 ways:
   
   
1. Digest Mode: If you would like your incoming List Group e-mail messages consolidated, then choose Digest Mode. Several postings are combined and sent to you together as a single large message. This is only recommended if the group is very large.
   
   
2. Letter Mode: If you prefer to receive incoming group e-mail message in real-time (as soon as they are sent out by the sender), then choose Letter Mode. Each posting will arrive in your Inbox individually. The Letter mode (see 2., B. below) is recommended on this List.
   
   
2. Click this either one of these e-mail Links below (your choice) to subscribe:
   
   
1. Digest Mode: UPTEGROVE-D-Request@rootsweb.com
   
   
2. Letter Mode:  UPTEGROVE-L-Request@rootsweb.com
   (recommended)
   
   
3. Next, type the word "subscribe" (without the quotes), as the only text in the body of the e-mail message, and send it.

You're done. That's all there is to it! You will now be subscribed, and will receive confirmation by e-mail that your subscription was successfully received.

To Resubscribe

Send an e-mail message to:

UPTEGROVE-L-request@rootsweb.com

and simply type in the body of the message the word "subscribe", and no additional text.

(several postings are combined and sent to you together as a single large message).

There are two steps:

1. First, send the command "unsubscribe" to UPTEGROVE-L-request@rootsweb.com to discontinue mail mode.
   
   
2. Second, send the command "subscribe" to UPTEGROVE-D-request@rootsweb.com to start receiving digests.

To Change to Letter Mode

(individual postings are sent to your e-mail box)

There are two steps:

1. First, send the command "unsubscribe" to UPTEGROVE-D-request@rootsweb.com to discontinue mail mode.
   
   
2. Second, send the command "subscribe" to UPTEGROVE-L-request@rootsweb.com to start receiving digests.

NOTE: There is no formal NOMAIL mode. All you have to do is follow the directions above and unsubscribe when you want the messages to stop, and then when you want them to start again, simply subscribe again.
