So, what are you looking at? The road that intersects the map is Lee County Road 814 (better known as Richmond Road). We are about 16km southeast of Tupelo in this photo, and about 2km southwest of the present day community of Richmond. The white house visible just off Richmond Road in the lower middle part of the image is the old home of Mr. Lamont Posey. A gravel drive goes up between it and a small trailer barely visible in the image. It leads up into the large field that dominates the center of the image. The main street in old Richmond supposedly began right at the Lamont Posey home and ran to the north, running out into the field. Back to the east, in the heavily overgrown cedar trees and underbrush, the road to the fairgrounds (the modern community of Richmond) made its way, eventually running back into the current Richmond Road
