Unfortunately, the census taker who covered the Richmond area in 1900 was not very literate or not very familiar with the local names, or both!  It is to be expected that names like Repult and Oswalt might give a little trouble, but he consistently misspelled such common names as William (Wiliam), Thomas (Tomas), and countless others.  The first time he encountered Gregory, he spelled it "Grigry".  I have made a few changes when I am absolutely sure of the error, otherwise I have left it like it was.  His writing was atrocious as well.  The letter "d" in caps or lowercase looks like two or three letters together and is hardly legible.  At times his "n" "m" "u" "a" and "o"'s all run together to form a choppy sea upon the line, leaving it for us to guess what he really meant.  Still, then pages that cover the "Richmond Precinct" are listed below.  Other families near Richmond may not be covered (some are in the Plantersville section).
