Questions, notes and observations:

  1. Frank and Laura Funkhouser were married in 1885 and Laura died in 1902. Frank married Iva Merryman in Madison County Indiana on Nov 17, 1904. Anderson, Indiana is the county seat of Madison County. Madison County cities, Towns & Communities include: Alfant, Alliance, Alexandria, Anderson, Bloomer, Chesterfield, Dundee, Edgewood, Elwood (Quincy), Emporia, Fishersburg, Florida, Frankton, Gilman, Gimco City, Grandview, Gridley, Hamilton, Hardscrabble, Huntsville, Idlewold, Ingalls, Lapel, Leisure, Linwood, Markleville, Moonville, New Columbus, Orestes, Ovid, Pendleton, Perkinsville, Prosperity, Rigdon and Summitville.
  2. Frank bought his first farmland in 1905 in Westport, presumably this is his farm west of Westport.
  3. Where did Frank get $6,000? It is possible that the money came from the Merrymans.
  4. Who is William A. Tyner of Blackford county? How did he get land in Westport? From an inheritance? Blackford county seat is in Hartford City which is a little north of Muncie, Indiana and the county just east of Madison.
  5. Frank was at least part owner of Tyner Grain Company?
