This is not a site about a specific Tyner Family Tree. It is a repository of census, birth, death and land records about folks who had the Tyner name. It contains duplicates as well as errors. Which is which, I cannot tell, so I will leave that up to you to decide.

Whatever you do, do not take what you see on these pages as gospel. Use the data as additional pointers for your research and independently verify its accuracy.

When this project was started, I had three hopes.

1. To list all of the Tyners regardless of the spelling of the name in a single data source. {Process started. See Tyner Family Search link on this page.}
2. To be able to query the data for specific entries – all Tyners from a certain county or township, all Tyners with a specific first name. {Working on design.}
3. To be able to query the data for the entire family group having a specific first name anywhere within the group. {Working on design.}

As of this time, work is proceeding only on the first step kindly assisted by the donation of 1612 records from one diligent Tyner researcher and the promise of help from another dozen.
